Dethatching

Dethatching is a process that removes moss, dead grass, leaves, sticks, and other materials from your lawn to allow nutrients to reach the roots for water and allow air to get to the soil.

Too much thatch can form an impermeable layer, preventing fertilizers and disease control from getting to the soil.

Thatch can make your lawn spongy and not uniform in appearance.

To keep your lawn looking its best, we recommend dethatching when the thatch layer is more than one inch thick.

After the thatch is removed, Beach Time Landscaping overseeds your entire lawn and fertilizes twice, once at the time the dethatching is completed and once two weeks later.

Dethatch your lawn to keep this important investment in your landscaping healthy.
